Chelsea will lose their left back Marc Cucurella after the 2026 FIFA World Cup on going in USA, Canada and Mexico.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Cucurella who is with the Spain national team at the World Cup has verbally agreed to join Real Madrid and he is expected to sign up after the world football fiesta.
Cucurella who was previously linked with a return to Spain with Barcelona was approached by Real Madrid at the request of José Mourinho. Cucurella has a lot of experience and will surely be a quality option for the team’s defensive line.
Los Blancos will reportedly spend around €40 million in this move. Cucurella will turn 28 years old next month, so he has plenty of football left in his career.
Chelsea may now be looking for replacements for Cucurella. They are said to have signed Brazilian left-back Denner who is expected to arrive from Corinthians and also they are eyeing Argentina’s Valentin Barco is at Strasbourg.
