The family of former minister of power Adebayo Adelabu is now waiting to hear from the unknown gunmen who snatched their daughter Olaide Adegoke John Paul and her twin boys in Ibadan on Wednesday.
No group has claimed responsibility for the crime committed in broad day light while Mrs John Paul was taking her boys to school in a red sedan. According to Femi Awogboro, an aide to Adelabu, the family is worried no contact has been by the gunmen.
“We are still searching, security agencies are still on it, and they have promised safe return of the victims,” he told the Nation.
“Since yesterday, the family is unsettled, the victim husband, who is not in Nigeria is not happy at all, but he said he believe that security agencies in Nigeria are capable of securing release of his wife and children.”
Awogboro however appealed to the Police and other security agencies to double their efforts in rescuing the mother and her children.
