Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi will play a role with Fox Sports at the 2026 World Cup as fellow Nigerians are set to watch from home.
Mikel is one of the analysts hired by Fox for their coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mikel, a two-time world cupper with the Super Eagles in 2014 and 2018 since retiring from active football has been talking football on his Podcast “Obi One.”
The former Chelsea of England midfielder will join a panel of respected football personalities expected to provide match analysis, tactical breakdowns and expert opinions throughout the competition. They include Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Peter Schmeichel, Clarence Seedorf, Clint Dempsey and Javier Hernández.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to kick off on June 11 and is expected to attract millions of viewers around the world.
