Prince Adewale Adebayo a 2027 presidential aspirant on the Social Democratic Party platform has accused President Bola Tinubu of plotting an autocratic rule in Nigeria, after police disrupted the screening of candidates Thursday in Abuja.
Policemen stormed the SDP national secretariat shortly after the presidential screening exercise commenced and brought the proceedings to a halt.
Adebayo accused President Tinubu and his agents of attempting to impose a “one-man rule” on the country.
“President Tinubu, the autocrat, has sent his goons to invade the SDP National Secretariat a day after I completed my presidential primary screening,” Adebayo said.
“Tinubu wants one-man rule in Nigeria. We will defeat him. It is cowardly and unpresidential for the President to be afraid of competition,” he said.
