The Police Benin City Edo State have arrested a 32-year-old man identified as Francis Duwa for an alleged acts of sexual abuse and secret recording of unsuspecting male and female victims.
Mr. Duwa who is said to be gay and at the same time straight according to the police often invited his victims to his abode, exploited them and then circulate the explicit content.
Edo police spokesperson ASP Eno Ikoedem, told news reporters that Duwa lured victims to his residence in Iyekogba Estate in Oredo Local Government Area of the Edo State under the guise of meetings.
At the meetings, the victims were allegedly exploited, while recordings were made without their consent.
She said the bubble burst on Mr. Duwa after suspicious residents of the Estate alerted the police to strange faces and noises at his apartment. The police then raided the building.
Ikoedem further alleged that the suspect worked with other male individuals who participated in recording and circulating the explicit materials for financial gain.
“During the operation, the victims were rescued and the suspect was arrested, while exhibits were recovered from the scene.
“The suspect has been charged in court. The Command is urging youths to invest their time in more legal money-making schemes,” Ikoedem added.
