Manchester City Monday night forced Everton to a 3-3 draw at Goodison Park, leaving Arsenal to take back control of the Premier League title chase.
The Gunners now need to win all their three remaining games to land their first title in 20 years.
Jeremy Doku put City in front with a stunning shot just before half time.
In the 68th minute substitute Thierno Barry equalised and then Jake O’Brien followed up in the 73rd minute, the two quick goals put City in panic mode, Barry put in the third for Everton in the 81st minute.
However, Erling Haaland gave City a fight back chance in the 83rd minute before Doku leveled up in injury time.
Arsenal are now five points clear on 76 points, City with a game in hand can only hope Arsenal drop points in their up coming games.
“It’s not in our hands. Before it was in our hands. Now, no,” City manager Pep Guardiola told Sky Sports.
“We have to do it in our four games that we have in the Premier League. It will be quite similar against Brentford. We will see what happens.”
Doku also added that City will not give up.
“It feels painful now. There are still a lot of games to go. We lost two points today. We will keep on fighting – we owe it to ourselves and to our fans.”
