Nollywood actress and film maker Funke Akindele has urged fans to troop out and watch Faithia Williams’ epic “Efunroye (The Unicorn),” billed for release to cinema houses May 1, 2026.
The public show of support by Akindele was like tonic for Williams who is eager to make a success of the project, she hopes will capture the hearts of movie lovers.
“Congratulations Aunty @faithiawilliams on your amazing movie EFUNROYE (The Unicorn) hitting cinemas nationwide from May 1st, 2026! This is a must-watch for everyone,” Akindele posted on her Instagram social media platform.
Williams responded: “Thanks, my darling Iya Ibeji. The dance wey I do never reach”
Perhaps Akindele reaching out to Williams has dispelled rumours they have a rivalry. The rumours gained traction after a perceived snub involving a birthday message, but both actresses have since dismissed the claims through various public appearances, including Williams’ 55th birthday event.
