Afrobeats’ singer Ahmed Ololade a.k.a Asake said he quit professional dancing because it couldn’t guarantee him the kind of money he dreamed about making in entertainment.
Asake started out dancing in musical videos working with artists like Olamide who would later help him to music stardom.
Speaking during an interview with African Voices, Asake remarked that though he still dances, his focus was more on music because it pays much more.
“I love dancing so much, I can’t do without dancing, but the truth is I had to leave it because of my love for money because I know the type of money I want dancing can’t give me,” Asake said.
Asake became famous with tracks like
“Lonely At The Top,” and establishing a global fan base and setting up his own label.
Asake has also stated that his respect and loyalty to former label boss Olamide remain unchanged.
