Taiwo Oyedele...new minister of finance.

President Bola Tinubu Tuesday has carried out a minor cabinet shake up, which saw the exit of Wale Edun as minister of finance.
In his place junior minister of finance Taiwo Oyedele was elevated to the top position.
Ahmed Musa Dangiwa will also leave the cabinet in his capacity as minister of housing and urban development. Muttaqha Rabe Darmahas will take over.
According to a statement by Yomi Odunuga, special adviser on media and publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the changes are with immediate effect: “all handing over and taking over processes should be completed on or before close of business on Thursday, April 23, 2026.”
“These changes are aimed at strengthening cohesion, synergy in governance as well as achieving more impactful delivery on the economy to Nigerians, through the Renewed Hope Agenda,” added the statement.
The President thanked the outgoing ministers for their services to the nation while wishing them the best in all their future endeavours.
