Former Manchester City and Germany midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes that striker Victor Osimhen will thrive at Newcastle he if the Magpies could bring him to England, because they will benefit from his kind of football.
Hamann said Osimhen should have been playing in the Premier League, and it was a bit hard to explain how he ended in Istanbul.
“If Newcastle United sells Nick Woltemade, Osimhen could be a perfect fit for them,” Hamann was quoted by Fanatik.
“He has pace, power, and clinical finishing, which will suit Newcastle’s style much better.”
Osimhen is currently out injured for his Turkish side Galatasaray, he is expected to be back in training April 20.
“I couldn’t believe Osimhen transferred to Turkey. I was truly surprised that no English team signed him.
“Last summer, almost everyone had a problem at the center-forward position.”
“Osimhen is an extraordinary player. The reason Galatasaray is performing so well in the league is likely because of him. I enjoy watching him.”
He added: “I believe if he played in the Premier League, he would significantly strengthen whichever team he joined.”
