A man identified as Oluwadamilare Ewedemi is cooling off in police custody after he was alleged to have sexually abused his biological daughter over a six-year period, impregnating her and forcing her to do abortion five times.
The victim who lost her mother when she was a baby grew up in a motherless baby’s home, in Ikeja, Lagos but in 2019 when she turned 13 years her father took her to Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State and that was when her ordeal of sexual assaults began.
Tired of all the assault and pregnancies, the victim now 21 years reported her father at the Ifo divisional headquarters of the Ogun State Police Command.
She told how her father subjected her to sexual slavery and abuse over the years leading to five abortions.
Ogun State Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed the story of the young lady. He said the victim escaped from home on February 1st, 2026, following unrestrained harassment from her father and she took refuge at a church in Pakoto mountain.
“On 26/03/2026, a lady aged 21 years, reported at Ifo Division that she had been subjected to sexual abuse by her biological father.
“During this period, she became pregnant five times, and her father reportedly procured abortion for each pregnancy.
“Thanks to the swift and decisive leadership of CSP Kamorudeen, DPO Ifo, operatives of the Ifo Division acted immediately on a tip-off and successfully arrested the suspect, Oluwadamilare Ewedemi,” Babaseyi said.
He said the suspected will be duly prosecuted when investigations have been concluded.
