Former Manchester United defender Nicky Butt has called on the Old Trafford hierarchy to waste no time in signing top striker Victor Osimhen.
Butt in a chat with Mirror UK said Osimhen is a powerful striker who can lift the club as United cannot rely solely on Benjamin Sesko’s game.
“I don’t think Sesko can carry the club up front on his own, they will need another no9,” Butt said.
“I don’t think he needs replacing, but someone better than him who can lift his game as well.
“I know Osimhen isn’t proven in the Premier League, but you look at his physicality and the way he plays football, he can definitely handle it.
“I think he’d be the one [Man United should go for]. You’d like to think that players from Turkish sides are gettable.
“I think he is powerful, quick, he can run in behind, he’s strong, he can score different types of goals, he’s good in the air.”
Meanwhile Osimhen’s teammate at Galatasaray Lucas Torreira said the Super Eagles striker is among the top three in the world. He said: “Federico Valverde, Kylian Mbappé, and Victor Osimhen are currently the world’s best footballers.”
