Miss Nigeria Organisation said Tuesday the young presenter who asked Nollywood veteran Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde to introduce herself was on his own.
At the weekend Omotola during the annual Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner in Lagos was approached on the red-carpet by the present who couldn’t mentioned her name. Omotola felt slighted and caused a stir by refusing to go any further with the dialogue.
“First and foremost, we wish to publicly extend our sincerest apologies to Omotola for the discomfort she experienced,” said a statement by the Organisation.
“She is a deeply valued member of the Miss Nigeria community, a close friend of the organisation, and a woman who has spent decades paving the way for young creatives in this country. She deserves the utmost respect and care.”
According to the organisation, the presenter was working on his own and was not invited officially to represent the Miss Nigeria organisation during the event.
