Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi was at the weekend held at knife point and robbed of cash and jewelries worth £700,000 (about N1.3b) by robbers who broke into his home in London.
Iwobi was in action last Saturday as Fulham beat Burnley 3-1 in the Premier League, but on he came face to face with robbers who had broken into his home… He was overpowered and the hoodlums ransacked his home taking £200,000 in cash from a safe, jewelries, luxury wristwatches, laptop, two iPhones worth around £500,000.
After having their fill, the robbers fled the scene and Iwobi was able to free himself and called the police who are currently investigating the crime.
Iwobi though traumatised by the experience is happy that he and members of his family were not hurt in the ordeal.
