World acclaimed pop legend Celine Dion is set to make a big concert comeback after a long hiatus from the music scene.
The Canadian born singer briefly reappeared in 2024 to sing Edith Piaf’s “Hymne A L’Amour” by the Eiffel Tower at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony. But now according to French-Canadian newspaper La Presse, Celine Dion will have big concert in France.
She is expected to perform a string of concerts in Paris starting this fall at the Paris La Défense Arena, where Taylor Swift, the Rolling Stones and Kendrick Lamar had performed in the recent past. According to La Presse, Dion will give two concerts each week in September and October at the 40,000-seat venue.
In 2022, Dion was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological and autoimmune disorder that causes muscular stiffness, inhibiting the ability to walk and sing. Her battle against this illness was chronicled in the 2024 documentary “I Am: Celine Dion,” which was directed by Irene Taylor. Dion was also recently interviewed for a documentary which came out on the French channel M6 about her creative collaboration with singer-songwriter and producer Jean-Jacques Goldman.
