Chelsea FC are unlikely to part ways with under pressure coach, Liam Rosenior, despite a string of loses and dressing room upheavals.
Chelsea have just win in their last eight matches in all competitions. Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Everton FC marked a fourth straight defeat, leaving Chelsea sixth in the Premier League table.
But according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano there wouldn’t be any change of guard at Stamford Bridge.
“Obviously, Chelsea maintain their support in Liam Rosenior,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“They also spoke in public about that before the Everton game, mentioning meetings, mentioning discussions, mentioning the intention win and be aligned with Chelsea about summer transfer plans.
“So Rosenior is maintaining the full confidence and, at the moment, that’s the situation with the club.”
Meanwhile former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill has singled out goalkeeper Robert Sánchez for criticism following the defeat at Everton.
Cahill pointed to the moment Sanchez allowed the ball to slip through his legs for the second goal.
“Clearly, the goalkeeper will be extremely disappointed with that; you know, nine times out of ten, he would typically gather those, but it went through his legs,” Cahill said.
“Very careless, very careless. Currently, these situations are proving to be costly.”
Sanchez has now conceded 52 goals in 41 appearances this season, although he has kept 14 clean sheets across competitions.
