High riding Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin has been pushed out his role by new Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Hundeyin was moved to Abuja from Lagos State Police Command by former IGP Kayode Egbetokun who resigned in February. Hundeyin had only been the NPF spokesperson for six months.
According to Sahara Reporters the online public with knowledge about happenings in the Nigeria Police Force, Hundeyin’s removal was approved on Thursday, March 5 by IGP Disu.
“We don’t know who will take over from him, although we thought he would last longer, considering his expertise,” a source told Sahara Reporters.
“When a new IGP is appointed, it is not unusual that some positions would be vacant. Unfortunately, he was affected.”
ACP Hundeyin could not be reached to confirm or deny the development.
