7-7-2025

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina said he is happy signing a new contract that will keep him at Nottingham Forest till 2028.
Forest confirmed the new deal Monday after a long winding path to an agreement.
“I’m over the moon, I can’t wait to continue this journey with the club,” Aina said in a Forest news release. “It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here. Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work.”
Aina joined Forest in July 2023 on a one-year deal after his contract expired at Serie A side Torino. He featured regularly at left-back in his first campaign as Forest escaped relegation to finish 17th in the league.Aina made 37 appearances in all competitions in the 2024-25 season as Forest finished seventh in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup semi-finals.
The 28-year-old has made 59 appearances for Forest in total, scoring three times and providing two assists.
Aina started 35 of Forest’s 38 Premier League games last season and was a consistent, reliable figure. Armed with a searing turn of pace, he fits perfectly into Nuno Espirito Santo’s ethos, being defensively solid while able to help launch rapier counter-attacks.
