Afrobeats singers David Adeleke a.k.a Davido and his colleague Omoniyi Rapheal a.k.a Zlatan have come underfire for celebrating the anniversary day of the Black Axe movement.
Black Axe, is a cult group notorious for violent killings, drugs, rape and other crimes, across Nigerian university campuses and also have worldwide connections. The group also known as Aiye and 7/7 has its annual founder’s day celebration on July 7. This year celebration was held in Benin City, Edo State.
To mark the day Davido and Zlatan took to their social media pages to celebrate the secret cult group, sparking reactions from their fans and supporters.
“Happy Metal,” Davido posted on X Monday, a cryptic message celebrating and promoting the violent cult group.
Similarly, Zlatan posted “7/7 🖤💛” in solidarity with the Black Axe confraternity on his X page, sparking reactions from his followers.
Davido’s post has garnered thousands of reposts, as many condemned his promotion of a cult group in his cryptic post to whic he replied: “That one nah ur papa business”.
