Contrary to media reports Manchester United and Victor Osimhen are in talks for summer transfer, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that there are no such talks.
Osimhen who is on loan to Galatasaray till the end of the season has been linked to several Premier Leagues clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Napoli his parent club have said they wouldn’t want last season transfer mix-up happen again in the summer and are ready to trade with any club that can match the €75m release clause.
“Despite reports in the last 2-3 days saying Osimhen has an agreement with Man Utd, there’s still no confirmation on this. United are not in advanced or concrete talks for Osimhen,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“United have more names on their list. They still don’t know how much they’ll spend on a striker, and Osimhen will not reduce his salary.”
Osimhen was prepared to join Chelsea last season, but his wage demand played against a deal being agreed. He is currently earning about €250,000 a week. There are 3 players in United’s squad that earn more than that (Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount).
