A pastor in Benin City Edo State was arrested by the police and paraded in the neighborhood for allegedly sleeping with another man’s wife.
According to reportafrique.com angry residents also vandalised the unidentified pastor’s church over the unholy romance which has been ongoing for ten years. A video online shows the police arresting the pastor and escorting him to their patrol van.
While some condemned the clergyman for stooping so low to committing adultery. some others cautioned that he did not commit a crime for it was a consensual relationship, and questioned the involvement of the police who might have been tipped to harass the pastor by the woman’s husband.
The video attracted mixed reactions on social media.
