Real Madrid and French star Kylian Mbappe can breathe after Swedish prosecutors dropped allegations of rape against him.
Mbappe alongside others in his company were accused of having a woman against her wish last October when he visited Sweden. But according to reports there is no evidence to nail the World Cup winner.
“There is not enough evidence to continue with the case,” said Marina Chirakova, who formed part of the investigation, as per SPORT reports
“The soccer player Kylian Mbappe is no longer a suspect: the investigation is closed.
“No interrogations have been carried out.”
Speaking in an earlier interview Mbappe said: “I was surprised and I still am surprised, by the way. These are things that come into your life like that, you can’t see them coming.
“It’s just incomprehension. I don’t think it weighed on me in the sense that I have never considered myself involved.”
