Paul Pogba brother Mathias is ready to ‘calm down’ the situation after accusing his rich and famous younger brother of patronising witch doctors.
According to the elder Pogba’s lawyer, Mathias was not involved in the extortion case.
“Considering the evolution in the media, Mathias Pogba insists that he is unrelated to any extortion manoeuvre against his brother, Paul Pogba,” Mathias’ lawyer Richard Arbib said in a statement quoted by Italian media.
“It is clear that family difficulties result from external threats on which justice will take its course.
“Mathias Pogba, who more than anything else aspires to calm the situation with his brother, will reserve his words only to the judges in charge of the investigation if necessary”.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba took legal action against an ‘organised gang’ who blackmailed him a few months ago, allegedly asking for €13m and stealing around €300,000 and a credit card.
His brother Mathias seemed to be somehow involved as he threatened his brother with several videos posted on social media where he said he would make ‘explosive revelations’ about the Juventus star.
Mathias alleged that Pogba had even hired a witch doctor to put a spell on his compatriot Kylian Mbappé who has become the most prominent star for Les Blues.
Pogba has reportedly confirmed talking to a ‘town elder’ but just as part of an attempt to bring charitable funds to children in Africa.
The ex-Manchester United star allegedly told Italian and French authorities that his brother was acting ‘under the influence’ of others in the extortion case.
